Which cookies we use and how to manage them.
01What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device to remember your preferences or to measure how the site is used.
02Necessary cookies
They are needed for the site to work at all — remembering the language you chose and the state of the booking form. When you pay by card, Stripe, which processes card payments, sets the cookies __stripe_mid (lasting one year) and __stripe_sid (lasting 30 minutes) to prevent fraud. Stripe's script is loaded only once you reach the card payment step. Without these cookies the site and the payment do not work properly, so they are set without consent.
03Analytics cookies
Only with your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a service of Google Ireland Limited, to understand which pages guests read, where they arrive from and how many go on to send an enquiry or a booking. Google sets cookies whose names begin with _ga, which last up to two years, and records the pages you open, your type of device and your approximate location. Names, email addresses, phone numbers and messages you type are never sent to Google, and advertising features and Google Signals are switched off. Until you agree, the Google script is not loaded at all. Declining has no effect on your use of the site, and if you withdraw consent, measurement stops at once and those cookies are deleted.
04Third-party content
The contact page carries a Google Maps map. It does not load on its own: until you ask for it with a click, no request reaches Google and no Google cookie is set. Once you open it, Google receives your IP address and may set its own cookies, over which we have no control. The villa's location and coordinates are printed beside the map, so you can leave it closed.
05Managing cookies
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie settings on this site, and you can delete all cookies from your browser settings.
